About this job

Our client located on the west side of Minneapolis is looking for a candidate to help support their Mortgage Loan Servicing department. This is a back office position that will require the right candidate to assist with administrative tasks as well as calls inbound regarding mortgage loans (0 to 25 calls per day).

The right candidate will be responsible for a large variety of tasks that can change on a daily basis. A small amount of calls fielded and made outbound will be from customers with Loan products, typically mortgages established in the Midwest region of the US.

Typical call from customer, Could you please give me the full amount to be paid off three days in advance. I would like to pay off my loan.

Typical call, I need help with my payment.

Majority of the time you will be entering data and verifying information based on customer origination of loans. There are also responsibilities around tax information. All of this information is gathered and evaluated through Excel spreadsheets. There are some other company specific databases that you will use in order to be successful.

Work Environment

Shared services center that holds over 1,700 employees in a corporate, back office environment. There is a food court and free parking. The culture of this team is evolving, they are looking to create a metrics driven and team player environment. The current size of this team is 30 employees with 2 supervisors. The dress code is business professional and the hours are first shift, start time is flexible.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED
1+ years of recent experience in Financial Services Operations (Auto/Mortgage/Insurance/Banking)

College Graduate from business related school

Preferred working experience in Excel 2010 - spreadsheets
