PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Organizing, planning, establishing modification lines in coordination with the mod facility, and maintaining production lines
* Coordinating with the planner the use of resources and scheduling activities in order to meet an objective
* Preparing manufacturing/modification documentation required for product manufacture/modification (work instructions)
* Coordinating projects as directed or necessary
* Providing appropriate manufacturing/modification data
* Running/participating in meetings with other team members
* Identifying ways to reduce production/modification costs
* Working with engineering and other appropriate departments to produce cost estimates for new designs
* Understanding and analyzing graphs and statistics and other complex information
* Reading specialist journals and attending training courses and industry meetings in order to keep up to date with the latest technological developments and trends within this and other branches of engineering

ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Answer technical questions on hardware during assembly, integration and test operations.
* Interact with technicians, various engineering groups and management with technical advice and recommendations concurrently from the design process through product shipment.
* Create and update assembly traveler instructions that reflect the current engineering intent or drawing release.
* Provide manufacturability recommendations to design engineers to improve products and processes.
* Manage and status manufacturing order (MO) process, including kit, assembly, test, inspection and MRB activities.
* Provide or create non-conformance dispositions and effectivity.
* Responsible for engineering change order effectivity to maintain proper configuration during production.
* Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5 specification.
* Review drawing practices for proper interpretation and accuracy.
* Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading proficiency is required.
* Solidworks or CREO CAD experience is helpful.
* Electronic Configuration Management (CM) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system experience is helpful.
* Background in program management or production scheduling is helpful.
