Mechanical Drafter

A mid-sized manufacturing company just north of Fort Wayne is seeking an individual to support the laser cutting operation. This person will primarily setup and layout the specific pieces of equipment based on the 2D prints. This person will need to work with the Nesting Software from the CAD file to program and setup the laser cutter, plasma table, water jet tables, and press breaks which are used in this facility. The ability to create BOMs (Bill of Materials) would be a plus. Also, some work will need to take place with this person converting the 3D models into the 2D prints for the nesting software to read it.

Must Have:

-Proven ability to utilize Solidworks and/or Inventor

-Ability to create BOMs

-Familiartiy with CAD/CAM systems

-Willingness and ability to quickly learn the Laser Cutting Nesting Software

Preferred:

-Knowledge of Water Jets, Plasma Tables, and Laser Cutters

-Welding experience for design purposes
