Equipment Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is partnering with one of the largest warehouses in the Hampton roads area. This position is a contract to hire and has the hours of 3:30pm - 12am with a strong potential for OT. Qualifications include 2-4 years of recent / relevant experience operating forklifts in either a warehouse or industrial environment (terminal / shipyard) Front End Loader experience preferred but not required. Able to perform physical / manual labor including lifting between 50-75 lbs. You can find the job details below.

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, or work site, performing any combination of warehouse operations. Operates bagging machine in accordance with established safety and operations procedures.
* Prepares products or materials for shipment by assembling or selecting appropriate size shipping containers and properly packing items to be shipped for damage free delivery.
* Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
* Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
* Load hoppers with product for processing in robot bagging machine.
* Operates forklift to move material to designated locations to facilitate packaging.
* Inspects material handling equipment for defects and performs minor maintenance.
* May assist with loading pallets into trucks or on flatbeds.
* Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
* Maintains a neat and clean work area by disposing of waste material, cardboard or packing materials, and stacking pallets.
