Our client, large health insurance provider in Center City, Philadelphia, is seeking an analyst to support their Accounting departments. If you are qualified for and interested in and qualified for this role, please apply.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a fast paced and deadline driven environment (an internship will suffice)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience utilizing it in a professional setting
Job Description:
- Correctly execute the tasks and procedures related to the input of premium cash payments into the Receivable Cash (RC) system.
- Ensure that client account numbers and dollars are entered correctly.
- Perform required cross-checks to ensure quality and integrity of data entered.
- Maintain the required throughput and accuracy to maintain minimum goals and standards.
- Utilize various system interfaces to research payments received in-house or presented via bank imaging tools.
- Using established procedures, properly identify the client submitting the payment and verify the dollar amounts being paid.
- Complete the required batch paperwork and prepare the needed adding machine tapes.
- Perform both the morning balancing of the bank transmission totals, as well as the afternoon balancing of payments and wires entered through the RC system.
- Clearly identify any balancing issues to the department Lead or Supervisor.
