Assembler

A large manufacturing company in the Cleveland area is looking for assemblers. Please review the job description below.

Job Description:

-Performs assembly work in a station or line to produce medical devices in a FDA regulated and controlled environment.
-Perform assembly-type functions, using various hand tools and bench top pneumatic presses.
-Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes.
-Promote and provide a safe working environment.
-Inform Lead Technician of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment or processes.
-Work in a team environment.
-Operate equipment needed to perform job.
-Adhere to Shop Practices including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment and following standard work.
-Meet quality assurance requirements and completes LHRs.
-Perform other duties as needed.
-Can listen to music or iPod in one ear while performing

Qualifications:

-Previous assembly experience with small parts PREFERRED.
-Ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instruction in English.
-Reasoning ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
-Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations.
-Ability to identify, communicate and trouble shoot problems.
-Computer Skills will be required to enter data at a computer terminal.
