Histology Technician

A clinical diagnostic firm located in Johnson County is seeking a qualified candidate for various openings in their Histology department. Evening and night hours are currently available. Minimum qualifications are listed below - qualified candidates will be contacted immediately!

Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience with embedding human specimen is required
• HT (ASCP) certification preferred, eligibility for licensure is required
• Bachelor level or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities will be taking incoming specimens and body parts. Unpacking, preparing specimens for slides, grossing, dissection, using a microtome. Then embedding/paraffin waxing tissues to the slides for review under a pathologist.
Must have a high attention to detail and little to no errors due to the subject matter.
They will not be doing full autopsies.

Shifts:
Monday through Friday 1:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Monday through Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Tuesday through Saturday 1:00 AM - 9:30 AM
