What a GREAT opportunity I have to work for a Premier Environmental Construction Company! A GREAT client of mine is actively seeking Landfill Plant Operators for a Project Site they have in St. Louis.

For more then 50+ years, this company has been providing 1st class service to their customers for; Construction, Environmental Monitoring/Sampling/Remediation, and Energy development. This employer takes pride in the work they do and how it effects the local community around the sites they work at.

In order to be successful in the Plant Operator role, the right people will need to be able to perform the following; Assists in daily operations and maintenance of landfill leachate treatment facility. Manages minor routine maintenance on equipment. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills. Applies a working knowledge of fundamental industrial wastewater principles, terminology, and methodology in carrying out routine operations assignments. Understands and applies standard policies and procedures within specific discipline. Performs assignments with clear, specific objective which may require the limited exercise of judgment and decision-making skills. May operate facilities with computer, SCADA or PLC controls. Monitors, regulates and adjusts chemical feed pumps, feed rates and routine operation of other process equipment. Operates and maintains clarifiers, filter beds, contact basins, solids handling equipment and other process unit equipment, as required. Collects samples and performs routine in-house lab tests as required. Maintains a log of operations and maintenance activities and other operationally related records. Operates system to maintain compliance with permit requirements. Good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required in the O&M of industrial and environmental facilities and ability to perform routine field tests for control of plant operations. Participates actively in creating a safety culture at the jobsite. Adheres to the policies and standards set forth in the Firms Project Delivery Manual (PDM), Employee Manual and Corporate Health & Safety Manual.

The ideal qualifications for this role consist of; High School Diploma/Vocational training or equivalent. Applicable health & safety training. Typically 5+ years experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Discipline specific licensure/certification(s), are preferred but not required.
