Maintenance Tech/Electrician

Job Description:

Employees are expected to show up to work in the morning and receive daily assignments. There is a wide range of maintenance activities that this individual will be responsible for. Their main function will be to perform reactive maintenance on 3 phase motors through out the facility. They will be responsible for checking motors with a megger and then completing corrective maintenance. 90% of the time they will be working with 480v. They will need to go up on the cranes and troubleshoot motors. The majority of the position related to troubleshooting motors. They will be doing very little installation.

Most of the motors are located on the cranes throughout the facility. Electrician will be working on 480 volts and below. Need to be able to wire & test 3 phase motors, & troubleshoot circuits.
A lot of our work is on cranes so you cannot be afraid of heights.
You will not be working with electric every day. The days you arent working with electric, you will be working on downturn crews taking care of the Hot Strip roll line, or Working on other jobs throughout the mill. Anything from Facility Maintenance to working on garage doors.

You will also do some work in offices also, replacing light fixtures, bulbs, switches, receptacles, & anything else they need/want done. We would like for the electrician to have experience in a wide variety of things. One site at has P&H and Morgan cranes.

Work Environment:

Not a climate controlled environment. There are two sides to the operation: raw materials and finished product. On the raw materials side, if it is cold outside then it will also be cold inside. They will sometime be working 50-60 feet in the air��

Must Have:
-10 Hour OSHA card (if they don't have it then MPS will pay for them to attain it)
-High School Diploma or equivalents
-3-5 years of electrical maintenance experience
-Blueprint reading (Not a requirement, but definitely a plus)
-3 years of 480v experience
-Must be able to wire and repairing and troubleshooting 3 phase motors
-Must be able to repair circuits, tips, contactors

Hours: 6:00am-3:15pm
Will be working a double once a week
10-20 hours minimum

Pay:$18-22/hr
Working on a team of 2-10 depending on the daily tasks
