mechanical testing/hands on Job Description: Execute testing procedures on customer supplied test samples per work instructions and training procedures.
Handle and install electrical and mechanical components into test setup
Document and record test results
Operate a variety of computer automated and manual test equipment including measurement systems for electrical and optical applications.
Prepare / assemble fixtures and tools required by various tests
Assemble, build / fabricate fixtures to support the testing activity
Program temperature chambers with specific profiles Work Environment: Lab Environment/Testing Environment
M-F 7am-330pm Qualifications: 2+ years experience in working with electro-mechanical components
Experience working in a testing environment
Exhibit diligence in executing work instructions (must have)
Demonstrate proactive, detail oriented, and thorough work ethic
Must be able to follow work instructions (verbal and written)
Must show proficiency in use of popular computer software products (Microsoft Office, etc)
Must continuously maintain and advance its own knowledge in the field of fiber optics, testing, and standards compliance.
Associates degree in physics or electronics welcome
