General Laborer - Full-time / Part-time

Assisting a crew of 3-5 with the production of concrete precast products
Measuring out forms, preparing them for pouring, and then removing them from the forms to be loaded onto a truck or out into the yard
This is not a glamorous job- they will be pounding rings onto the end of pipes and removing the rings after the form is made, they will be the "gopher" for the supervisor and the other people initially, they will be hand scraping off the edges of the pipes to make sure that they are smooth, they will be laying rebar prior to the pours, operating the overhead pouring systems.

Things they make:
Concrete pipe, center baracades for the highway, bridge supports, etc

Aggregate Industries, City/County/State highway/construction departments, construction companies, industrial contractors

Hours:
1st Day start at 6 AM
5:30 AM-6 PM, Monday-Friday, Saturdays are possible
Typically a 10-14 hour day from June-November and 8-10 hours from March-June

They are typically laid off from December to March, but that is 100% dependent on the weather

Must have their own Meta-tarsal Steel toes boots

- This is a physically demanding job where they will be on their feet for 12-14 hours per day
- It requires pulling, pushing, prying, etc to remove the rings
- There is some heavy lifting, but most of the lifting is done with a crane once the product is finished.
