Scope of Work
Background
Project portfolio that requires some additional power electronic design resources to meet the planned release schedules. Adjustable speed drive design team is located in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This team is part of a global drives development organization working closely with the parent location in Helsinki, Finland.


* Hardware Design Engineer on site (Power Electronics design focus of adjustable speed drives)
* Project management onsite
* Project Delivery on site
* Power electronics design of drives, may involve the following tasks/skills
o Creating and editing design specifications
o Schematics and PCB layouts
o Sizing/dimensioning of components
o Bills of materials
o Testing of board level components and assemblies
o Testing of prototype drives and later builds including test reports
* Lab work may include prototype assembly of boards and/or drives
* Lab work may include board and drive level testing
* Interacting with project and line managers to give technical updates or presentations as required.
* Leadership, oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally support periodic communication to management and technical teams.
Deliverables
The team member shall provide design and analysis of power conversion circuits and equipment for a family of adjustable speed drives. This work may involve some or all of the following:
* Development specifications for components, boards, drives, tests, etc.
* Schematics
* Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout
* Sizing/dimensioning of components, boards and drives - calculations and/or simulations
* Creation and use of simulation models
* Bills of materials in Omnify tool
* Testing specifications for components, assemblies, boards and/or drives
* Perform tests according to standard drive tests, regulatory tests, EMC, thermal, etc.
* Testing reports
* Regulatory - technical files and/or reports
