About this job
Seeking a Laboratory Technician to repair, test, adjust, or install laboratory equipment. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for:
- Routine maintenance and laboratory support.
- performing inspections and minor PMs (cleaning, filter and battery replacements, etc.) on Freezers, Refrigerators, Incubators, vacuum pumps, monthly monitoring of other mics lab equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems
- Carries out duties and behaves in a manner consistent with GMP and Laboratory Daily Expectations.
- Set up and test medical equipment to ensure that it functions properly
- Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and to analyze malfunctions
- Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in watertight electrical equipment
- Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications
- Operate and maintain steam autoclaves, keeping records of loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures performed
- Organize and assemble routine or specialty instrument trays or other sterilized supplies, filling special requests as needed
Qualifications:
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Ability to function as a team player
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong data and time management skills with attention to details.
- Strong desire to achieve team and individual goals
- Able to lift 35 lbs
- Education/Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required
- 2-4 years of experience required
