About this job
Large company in Cleveland seeking 5 Field Technicians to join their team. Will drive in company vehicle from site to site throughout the day. Need to flexible to working 60-70 hour weeks.
Starting pay is $14/Hr.
If you work weekends, pay structure will be as follows:
Saturdays: time ½ starting at $21/Hr.
Sundays: x2 starting at $28/Hr.
Job Description:
- On call 24/7 to respond to emergency clean ups (chemical, oil, liquids, etc.)
- Candidates will travel around NEO and surrounding sites. They will go where the work is
- Candidates will also be on different sites providing oversight to a project to make sure that nothing is spilled on sight
- Candidates are required to have a 40 hr. HAZWOPER. If they do not currently have that certification, they are required to go to offsite classroom training
Work Environment:
- This is a field position so candidates will be traveling from site to site each day. They are also on call so if they get asked to go to a site they must be there in a timely fashion.
- Candidates must be willing to work long hours and be open to traveling. These candidates will get a company vehicle for travel but they can't take the work trucks home.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- 6 months construction or general labor experience
- Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Valid Driver's License
- Safety oriented mindset with the determination to follow all procedures and policies
- Ability to travel and work on an on-call basis
- Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role
Additional Information:
If candidates have a valid 40 hr HAZWOPER they will be compensated $14.50/hr. If they have their Hep B shots that are up to date, they will receive and automatic 50 cent raise.
