AutoCAD/Structural Steel Designer/Detailer
The overall function of the detailer is to develop drawings on assigned projects per project scope specs in order to provide detailing standards.
Primary Duties.....
* Detail the structural drawings from the customer.
* Candidate will then take drawings and convert them into the software system which is then used on the shop floor. This becomes the build plan for designer.
* Number one responsibility is to review and check drawings detailed by in-house drafter.
* Make proper notifications to team members when problems arise which can bear a financial impact on the project.
* The other 20% of their time will be spent assisting the project manager in the field.
* Help make field measurements at project site.
Must Have.....
* AutoCAD
* Detailing experience
* Structural Steel
* Must be able to read a tape measure
Nice to Have....
* SDS/2
* Drafting experience
* 10 years of experience ( open to 2 plus )
Best Vs. Average.....
* Best candidate will have ten years experience from a structural steel company who has been a main driver in their design department. Someone who is extremely accurate in order to ensure the fabrication meets the customer specs.
