Aerotek is looking for the following candiates:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Project assignments may include, although not limited to Subway & LRT stations, transit maintenance facilities, parking structures

  • Travel to the construction sites to conduct Electrical inspections and prepare reports

  • Electrical on-site with client and contractors

  • Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, technical specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, cost estimates, detailed analyses and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes

  • Development of electrical power and distribution design concepts with architects, engineers and owners; Design of lighting, fire alarm, communications systems, lightning Protection, and Grounding

  • Communicate to obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Consultants, and clients

  • Ensuring design conforms to all applicable codes and client standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible applicable experience including field experience

  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm in design of electrical systems

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Revit

  • Sound judgment supported by excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work to tight schedules and control project budgets

  • Well organized, self-directed work habits with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and schedule tasks managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment

  • Must be a good team player and decision maker

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Thorough understanding of SCADA systems and experience with instrumental control wiring

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have local experience in above mentioned markets with strong ties and background in the local market, Transit authorities and consulting community

  • Experience with SCADA systems and instrumentation and control wiring

  • Experience with DC Traction Power Systems

  • Some Project Management experience and training
