Job Description:
You will be responsible for building and assembling machines and sub-assemblies for custom, packaging equipment. This position will require the use of hand and power tools, as well as strong electro-mechanical aptitude to figure out proper assembly off of blue-prints. It will also be assisting in the building of pneumatic systems and mounting hoses, and electrical components to framework. You will also be taking part in equipment checkout-validation, checking over proper function of equipment.
Work Environment:
High deadline focus, high intensity, direct communication, strong demands on work. It is a casual dress environment. You will be working indoors building custom, high-speed packaging equipment from blue-prints. Space is limited and often working in tight areas with minimal elbow room. Company is a small manufacturer of only about 70 employees on 2 shifts.
Qualifications:
At least 3-4 years of custom machine building experience
Ability to assemble equipment straight from blueprint
Ability to read blueprint
Experience using hand and power tools
Plus:
Technical certificate/diploma or Associates Degree
Previous packaging machine building/troubleshooting experience
Electro-Mechanical knowledge
