Aerotek Engineering is currently partnering with a large fabrication shop in North Portland (Swan Island) that is looking to hire at least four structural AutoCAD drafters ASAP.
This fabrication shop just landed a large project to build structural bases for the semiconductor industry. They are open to entry-level candidates with little experience as well as drafters with hands on autocad experience in a manufacturing environment.
DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPECTATIONS
- Associate's Degree in drafting OR hands on work experience as a drafter
- Drafters will be responsible for using AutoCAD to convert blueprints into drawings used for fabrication.
- Candidates must be comfortable reading blueprints and navigating AutoCAD.
- Candidates must be open to working 50-60 hours per week and comfortable being in a fast paced, blue collar environment.
- Interview will be with conducted by the Engineering manager and will be very laid back in nature. You will be going over your AutoCAD experience and asked to get on a computer and go over a basic CAD test.
- Hours will be roughly 5:00am - 1:30 + OT
- Pay is negotiable DOE
