About this job
Duties:
- This job will be 90% lab work on the bench, and 10% office/administrative work.
- Test stability samples, environmental samples, shelf life samples, and water samples.
- Inspect finished products and raw materials
- Perform testing including pH and titration
- Calibrate pH meters, titrators, and analytical balances daily.
- Cross train in the microbiology lab and perform micro analysis.
- Accurately record data and effectively communicate results to QA team members.
- Work with spreadsheets and company databases to file records properly.
- Follow strict protocols for customer testing standards, as well as OTC, Cosmetic, and Medical Device/FDA manufacturing guidelines
Requirements:
- Must be able to work a 12 hour night shift and work every other weekend for up to 2 years.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
- Academic or industry experience with wet chemistry and analytical chemistry techniques - pH, titrations, FTIR, HPLC or GC.
- Basic proficiency with computer skills to filter data in spreadsheets and navigate databases. Excel experience is great.
- Experience in analytical chemistry will be highly preferred over synthetic or organic chemistry.
- Any experience with autotitrator would be a huge plus, but not required.
- Any microbiology lab experience would be a huge plus, but not required - media prep, gram stain, serial dilution, aseptic/sterile technique.
