POSITION PURPOSE

At The Home Depot, our Private Brand team is driving value creation for the organization through our sourcing, engineering, product development, and quality organizations.  This position focuses on performance analytics of our high-growth Private Brand business. The role interacts with product development merchants, and other leaders in the group to report, analyze and develop tools to evaluate performance and opportunities that are margin accretive to Home Depot.

 MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • 25% - Analyze Private Brand performance online (including sales, profitability, traffic, conversion, assortment gaps, etc.) and make recommendations for ways to enhance to achieve best-in-class online performance
  • 25% - Analyze Private Brand performance in-store (including sales, profitability, competitive impacts, geographic analytics, etc.) and make recommendations for improving Private Brand performance
  • 25% - Support existing Private Brand business through being the subject matter expert about private brand processes and systems, providing analytics for metrics of efficiency, support the business in ad hoc analyses, and prioritize the enhancements list for the IT team
  • 25% - Create project plans, gain alignment with merchandising/supplier and drive execution

No direct Reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a leadership role on process implementation project 
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills 
  • Background related to import supply chain, global sourcing, and/or product development 
  • Relevant retail experience 
  • Experience leading project requirements/design workshops 
  • Experience with Tableau, Access, Visual Basic and/or SQL. 
  • Project management experience - understanding of full project lifecycle (Requirements through Implementation Support). 
  • Directly related work experience in Product Development or Global Sourcing.

  • Ability to be self-directed- know what needs to be done to deliver and act on it seeking direction when required
  • Self motivated work ethic with a sense of urgency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Excel
