CUSTOM HOME DÉCOR FABRICATION
Immediate 1st shift openings for full-time sewing and fabrication associates in a custom drapery manufacturing operation in Statesville, NC. These are temp to hire positions. Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule to include overtime and weekends as needed.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provides skilled support in the fabrication of custom draperies, window treatments and related decorator items.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Constructs custom decorating products and decorator items Accountable for the quality and quantity of work generated Proficiency performs six to eight functions in the fabrication process, including:
◦Cutting
◦Serging
◦Blind stitching
◦Cornice making
◦Straight needle
◦Bonis
◦Tabling
◦Covering boards
◦Deco valance making
◦Swag master
◦Pleating
◦Fan-folding
◦Shade making
◦Trimming and banding Assists in the fabrication of custom decorating items, including the operation of various machinery Inspects merchandise received Follows established quality procedures Meets established standards for quality and quantity of work produced
