STARTING RATE: $10.68
Basic Function
Performs a variety of laundry duties to provide clean and sanitary linens and terry for our guests including but not limited to washing, drying, sorting and inspecting items for wear and tear and stains. May be asked to assist cleaning rooms / public space when needed.
General Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Requires ability to follow verbal directions.
Requires thorough knowledge of laundry procedures as well as laundry supplies.
Requires ability to work with a variety of chemicals and detergents.
Requires ability to work without direct supervision.
Mental and Physical Requirements
EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental ability equivalent to completion of 2 years of high school.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience helpful, but not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to walk and stand during entire work shift. Requires ability to bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for extended periods of time. Requires ability to routinely lift and carry 25 - 35 pounds of linen supplies.
Working Relationships
Reports to the Executive Housekeeper.
Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
