About this job
Collaborates with other members of the health care team and uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat the patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. Assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with specific health problems and / or medical treatment.
Basic Qualifications:
Education - Graduate of approved paramedic program
Experience - Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through less than 2 years of experience as a paramedic,successful completion of competency-based orientation program
Licenses - Paramedic -- Licensed (PARAMEDIC)*\\\\
Drivers License -- MI (MI DR LIC)\\NFAM / Based on Spectrum Health entity and department as appropriate\Upon Hire\
Valid U.S. Passport or in the process of obtaining\NFAM / Based on Spectrum Health entity and department as appropriate\Upon Hire\
Basic Life Support (BLS) Note used for BLS,CPR & BCLS)\\\90 Days\
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)\\NFAM\180 Days\
International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)\NFAM\180 Days\
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)\\NFAM\180 Days\
Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)\\NFAM\180 Days\
Certified Flight Paramedic\NFAM\1 Year\
PFCCS (Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support)\NFAM\2 Yrs\
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) course\NFAM\180 Days\
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience - 3 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in as a paramedic
