Discover Financial Services is expanding its consumer lending footprint into the Home Equity space. Home Equity Sales Agents will be responsible originating Home Equity loans in a call center environment. Sales Agents will need to establish rapport with customers to help assess and uncover their financial needs and goals. Agents will need to effectively understand each customer’s unique personal and financial situation so product solutions can be adequately conveyed. This includes a basic evaluation of a customer’s credit against policy standards. This will require Sales Agents to actively maintain deep knowledge of relevant product features and benefits as well as core underwriting requirements. An active sales approach is key to success in this role. A Home Equity Sales Agent will need to consistently ensure the customer understands the value proposition in order to secure customer commitment. Agents will need to clearly communicate next steps in the process and ensure proper follow up.

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required, College preferred 2-5 years Home Equity or Mortgage Lending Experience 2+ Highly Effective Sales Experience preferred Proven history of delivering excellent customer service Highly motivated to set and deliver against sales goals Demonstrated ability to engage customers and manage customer relationships Ability to learn and navigate complex proprietary software platforms A high level analytical, problem solving, and computational ability is required Clear comfort with a fast paced, high volume, sales driven call center work environment Ability to obtain NMLS registration
