About this job
The Team Leader assists the Store Manager or General Manager to ensure all tasks are done properly, particularly on shifts when the Manager is not on-site. Team Leaders also must be able to keep inventory flowing in the store by ordering and handling vendors as needed. The Team Leader, when fully trained, can do the full daily accounting and run the store in the manager’s absence.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Minimum
· Prior Retail experience or roles in serving others
· Basic Accounting and Math proficiency
Preferred
· Direct experience in the fuel and convenience store industry or other chain retail.
Working Conditions/other requirements:
· Must possess a current valid driver’s license and/or can work in the field throughout specified geographical area.
· Typically works evenings and/or weekends, shifts alternate vs Store Manager most often.
· Store must always be operational, and all shifts must be covered per hours of operation in various climate conditions.
· Must be able to stand/site for prolonged periods and lift to 40 lbs.
· Team Leaders can be expected to work anywhere between 35-55 hours in a typical workweek.
