The Supervisor will be responsible for managing the day to day functions of the Model shop. This will include managing internal customer requests, order processing, material requisitions and planning, work assignments, and personnel management. A full understanding of machine shop equipment capabilities and workload. A machinist/toolmaker background preferred. This position requires excellent communication, technical and project management skills.
As part of the management team you will also be involved with deploying department initiatives. This includes working with local and international fabrication vendors, developing partnerships, working on pricing and delivery improvements, as well as quality metrics. Developing a long range plan for this group will be a vital part of this role.The Model Shop Supervisor responsibilities:

- -Raw Stock and Tooling Inventory Issues
- -Waste Accumulation Area Management, Log Book, Daily Cleanliness, Annual Training
- -Technician / Engineering Questions
- -General Machining Questions
- -Material Questions – Suggestions and Availability
- -Tooling Questions – Storage Cabinets
- Machinist Tooling background required
- Supervisor of tool room required – 5+ years
- Experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite
- BS in Engineering Required
