Position Summary:

Provide strategic direction for specified products and develop an associated marketing strategy that will create substantial sustained growth. Provide leadership to develop and implement programs that support the Customer 1st and Associate Promise strategies. Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop strategies for the annual marketing plan and implement strategies with a cross functional team that deliver unit growth as determined through the budgeting process
  • Define clear marketing/sales objectives and collaborate with various parties to report on performance against objectives for each campaign/action
  • Recommend changes for future campaigns/strategies, including offers, channel selection and other investments
  • Lead a cross functional team to optimize the company’s digital/online presence and conversion rates
  • Publish the annual marketing budget, including expected costs/investments
  • Develop, test and report on offers that drive unit growth and profitability of assigned products/categories
  • Develop/maintain strong relationships with vendors of assigned products/categories; seek/deploy opportunities that maximize vendor resources to grow Kroger’s business
  • Regularly review, measure and report on key product/category/vendor metrics; coordinate with KPF Finance team to balance unit growth with profitability
  • Utilize 84.51 information to understand current/potential consumers; identify/implement opportunities to promote assigned products within 84.51 customer communications/strategies
  • Prepare communication for promotions/initiatives that create 90%+ execution in stores and across support teams
  • Develop annual income/profit budgets, plus quarterly forecasts based on an in-depth understanding of division, vendor and industry performance; determine the biggest opportunities for growth and focus teams on achieving those activities
  • Collaborate with KPF Finance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Risk teams in developing/communicating policies that are relevant to assigned products/categories
  • Develop new products and business opportunities that fall within assigned products/categories
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and selected vendors to implement new products and product extensions
  • Understand/react to the competitive landscape of the marketing areas in which we operate
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of local, state and federal compliance requirements
  • Answer all inquiries from divisions/stores that concern assigned products/categories
  • Travel to develop/maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 2 years’ experience managing cross functional teams
  • 2 years’ experience managing profit and loss, including revenues/expenses
Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
  • 2 years’ working knowledge of the money services industry, its products and its customers
  • 2 years’ experience in vendor or supplier management
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with KCMSDW and 84.51 tools
  • Digital and traditional marketing campaign planning experience
  • Experience implementing initiatives that grow profits
