About this job
The Delivery Associate is responsible for the delivery of merchandise, typically home appliances and furniture, to our customer's homes. In most cases, a two person team will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods by using team lifting and/or material handling equipment. Attention to detail is key so that no damage occurs to either the merchandise or the customer's property. A brief overview of the products features and benefits will be provided by the delivery associate to finalize the process.
Operates, loads and unloads the truck safely
Protects customer and company property by following proper safety procedures as all times
Uses basic GPS/Internet navigation to access and print directions
Handles paperwork accurately and acquires all signatures per process
Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining delivery schedule and a professional attitude
Maintains truck effectively
Maintains material handling equipment effectively
Interacts with sales teams for special instructions for each delivery
Performs deluxing of merchandise for delivery
Maintains a basic knowledge of products to provide customer instruct in the home
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
