POSITION PURPOSE
The Sr. Director, Merchandising Execution, is responsible for leading the field execution of Merchandising Services for a division of retail stores across multiple regions, and districts. This position leads a direct report team of Regional Merchandising Execution Managers, with overall leadership for a team of hundreds of managers and supervisors, and 6,000+ associates. This position sets vision and strategy, leads and manages change, develops others, and drives high performing teams across assigned division.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
30% Develops and drives execution of strategic plans for the Merchandising Execution organization.
20% Inspires achievement and holds self and team accountable for high performance of key divisional merchandising execution metrics related to general bay service, projects, and resets
20% Works collaboratively with leaders across functional boundaries to develop plans for business growth, process improvement, and quality of service.
15% Develops and motivates direct reports and other talent within division
15% Partners directly with senior leaders (e.g. Presidents, VP, RVP, DMs) to provide communication and develop solutions for business performance

Typically reports to, VP Merchandising Services
Number of direct reports = 19
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 8 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).
Additional Qualifications:
Proven experience developing, communicating, and executing strategic and tactical plans across multiple geographical locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong financial acumen
Prior work experience in both a field and corporate environment
Prior experience in Merchandising Services with experience working with large retail stores
Working knowledge and experience of store operations, merchandising and executing store-level programs through partnerships with third parties
Prior multi-site experience in operations management or merchandising services organization leading large distributed teams
