ABOUT THE JOB An IKEA co-worker’s main task is to maximize sales and profitability in his/her area of responsibility using knowledge of the IKEA product range, local market conditions and the needs of customers. Together with thousands of colleagues around the world you will help to ensure the continued global success of the IKEA Concept – a concept that serves millions of satisfied customers each day.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:
  • IKEA has multiple hourly coworker positions available:
    • Active Selling Co-worker: Understands the needs of the customers Life at Home and shares this knowledge with customers and colleagues. Provides customers with product and service information to enable them to make informed choices. Acts as a Home Furnishing Host in order to provide knowledge about store layout, in-store promotions as well as to answer customer questions and to collect customer intelligence. Improves the shopping experience across IKEA sales channels.
    • Active Selling Home Furnishing Consultant and IKEA Business Coworker: Contacts potential new customers and local businesses, follows up on existing customer base information, and works with local businesses in the PMA to promote and communicate IKEA Business and other services provided. Utilizes high level of Interior Design expertise, in order to provide guidance and high level advice around layout/color/style/accessories to residential and business customers who are furnishing complete rooms, homes offices or businesses.
    • Active Selling Kitchen and Bath Co-worker: Conveys and possesses a high level of knowledge of the Kitchens and Bath Business, including but not limited to working with room layouts and basic understanding of home conditions (e.g. electrical, plumbing, gas lines etc.). Collaborates with the IHP (IKEA Home Planner) to coach the customer through the buying and planning process. Provides Kitchen Services at all points of the customer journey to ensure they get the right experience based on their needs, knowledge, ability and budget.
    • Active Selling Media and Storage Co-worker: Optimizes the IKEA shopping experience to secure satisfied customers and increase sales, specifically in the specialist areas of Media and Storage. Utilizes a specialist system, and product knowledge to assist customers buying complex storage systems or products. Works with multiple customers to coach them while using IKEA planning tools and providing specialist planning knowledge.
  • Part Time positions range from:
    • 12 to 20 hours per week
    • 20 to 34 hours per week
  • Candidates must be available to work on nights and weekends
