PC and Technology Support (30%)
Handle all end-user support calls regarding PC's and Applications
Setup and install, on end user's desks all new PC's, Thin Clients and printers. This task includes installing all relevant Hardware and Software as well as making any necessary cabling and database changes.
Repair and Upgrade all existing company PC's when necessary following approved procedures.
Responsible for the upkeep and routine maintenance of the PC database.
Make sure all equipment is properly labeled
Phone system support including all Phone reporting and monthly backups
Network Administration (20%)
Document all Computer, Network and Disaster Recovery related procedures
Assist Network Support personnel as needed in network upkeep and maintenance
Perform rewiring of network patch cable whenever a PC, server or network printer is moved.
Research Network related software
AS/400 Support (25%)
Run production jobs
Cover overflow work from AS/400 Operations staff
Crystal Reports and Intranet Servers (20%)
Maintain and Support Crystal Reports Server
Write basic to advanced level Crystal Reports
Light programming (VB, RPG, HTML and/or Java)
Maintenance of Intranet site
Hand Held Computer Support (5%)
Provided back support to HHC Operations
Act as level one support for HHC problems
Related Duties
UPS Outgoing Package Processing Coordinator
Clean back room in computer department maintaining orderliness and balance
Occasionally drive to local computer store to pick up computer components.
Light research and development projects which may include internet technologies and VB programming
Run errands outside of office to pick up various IT supplies
Occasional offsite PC Setup or repair
Document Network Infrastructure in Visio
Requirements:
Good understanding of network functions and requirements; Knowledgeable in configuring PC's.
