Purpose:

The Sr. Manager, Store Operations is responsible for improving the effectiveness and consistency of retail store operational best practices. The role will further support the achievement of profitable sales growth by budgeting and managing store labor spending, continuous improvement efforts, defining business requirements, identifying potential solutions, recommending new store initiatives and processes, and evaluating potential vendors. Additionally, the role will be responsible for project management documents, conducting time studies, completing work plans, formatting data analysis, and preparing and conducting presentations. The role will represent the Store Operations Team on key process and systems decisions affecting the store fleet.

Key Accountabilities:

* Develop and improve store initiatives and strategies to improve store productivity and customer service.

* Facilitate continuous improvement and development of store operations and processes thru simplification and optimization

* Manages store labor budgeting process with Field Operations, Finance and Retail Back Office functional heads.

* Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with new and existing vendors as needed.

* Acts as the primary interface with Global Retail Store Operations team, supporting platform to share and implement global best practices and process improvements locally.

* Support process execution in-stores to manage retail compliance standards across markets to contribute to the Retail Operating Center (ROC) operations strategy and ensure deployment and execution across US Retail.

* Develop cutting edge tools and processes for the retail business to support operations

* Apply qualitative and quantitative analytics to processes (i.e. ROI, monetary and labor savings, cause and effect, etc.)

* Document business processes and functional specifications for process initiatives.

* Head a broad range of planned and ad-hoc business and process improvement projects in order to improve store operational processes.

* Build key relationships with stores, management teams, Global Retail partners, and vendors.

* Collaborate with resources across business functions and manage interdependencies and requirements to effectively deliver process improvement solutions.

* Lead a culture of sharing and adopting best practices among global retail markets.

* Manage retail performance measurement tools such as mystery shop

* Oversee the development and execution of field conferences including overall conference vision and direction, speaker preparation, content development, presentations, venues and amenities.

* Project management skills, including planning, research, communication, negotiation and coordination.

* Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex data and develop and implement innovative solutions.

* Excellent problem solving skills; understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow; breaks work into process steps; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks, and knows what to measure and how to measure it; can simplify complex processes.

* Ability to collect information and data, define problems, evaluate processes, and establish logical, efficient processes to streamline business processes

* Ability to evaluate results and measure performance against goals

* Proven operational excellence know how

* Capable of working independently under little guidance on several projects simultaneously

* Sound business acumen, including familiarity with financial reporting and measurements

* Able to demonstrate managerial courage and is comfortable with senior leadership

* Develop and lead people

* Proficient in MS Office applications including Access, Project, and Visio

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from a four-year university required, preferably in Business or a related field of study.

* 6-8 years of related experience in retail operations

* Experience leading cross functional teams to achieve business results

* Strong operation excellence and process improvement skills

* Retail field operations experience is a must

* Moderate travel within North America
