Cargill Friona has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Technology Supervisor for our box distribution center and AS/RS. The AS/RS is an automated box storage and retrieval system comprised of 20 automated box storing and retrieving cranes in a 78,000 box rack system as part of the distribution center. This system is controlled via programmable logic controlled automated box conveying systems into and out of the cranes, to include packaging and load out equipment and loading docks, interfaced via HMI software and databases. Candidate will direct all servicing, repairs, and maintenance activities in the AS/RS department to ensure the plant box distribution center operates at maximum efficiency. Candidate will organize, control and facilitate activities and projects as required to ensure asset health and asset availability within the entire facility. Individual will guide the engineering effort and development of design ideas and their application to plant equipment. Role promotes and supports good working relationship between production and maintenance, and provides leadership for the maintenance function within the facility. Candidate will manage departmental expenses and capital budgets. Role must have an understanding of HR policies, labor contracts, contractor mgmt. procedures, and EHS policies.

Principal Accountabilities

50% - Maintain asset health by coordinating and reviewing maintenance efforts in regards to electronics/electrical/mechanical. Ensure facility is properly maintained.

20% - Give direction and coaching to subordinates to be more effective in their required activities. Engagement of employees, recognize and celebrate successes.

10% - Manage departmental expenses.

10% - Ensure adherence to personnel safety, food safety, and environmental requirements.

10% - Foster coordination and cooperation with other departments and personnel to ensure asset availability.

Minimum Required

* Associates degree in Industrial Technologies or Electronics/related field OR at least 3 years of experience in industrial electronics or related field of work.

* Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.

* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. question

* Troubleshooting skills (including locating and isolating problems, identifying and testing possible solutions and selecting effective approaches).

* Knowledge of electronics, variable frequency, and AC drives.

* Industrial electricity, motor controls and diagnostics experience.

* Experienced in servicing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and pneumatic equipment such as AC motors, gear reducers, belt and roller conveyors, chain drives, actuators, etc.

* Understand the importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team.

* Leadership ability. Must have ability to lead and direct hourly bargaining unit employees.

Preferred Qualifications

* Associates Degree or higher certification in Industrial Maintenance Technology

* Bachelor's degree in Digital Electronics or Engineering related field.

* Five or more years of previous industrial maintenance supervision.

* Previous industrial maintenance or operations management experience preferred.

* At least three years' experience supervisory level maintenance management.

* Knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes, understanding of Cargill and OSHA electrical guidelines. Previous Cargill and OSHA safety training courses.

* Strong skills in use of PC's and maintenance systems.

* Knowledge in SAP software and tools.
