Position Summary:

To replace or fill-in pharmacy shifts on an as needed basis. To perform functions and duties of Staff Pharmacist, including assisting in directing the activities of all Pharmacy associates while providing high quality, patient-centered pharmacy services; create an outstanding patient experience through exceptional service and patient care. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our patients to return. Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor and control all established quality assurance standards.   • Develop a system for keeping knowledge current so as to continually deliver up to date/accurate information in the provision of pharmacy service
  • Recognize company insurance programs and stay within plan parameters as outlined
  • Assist technicians with calling customer's doctors concerning re-fills, when needed
  • Ensure that technicians apply pharmacy updates bi-monthly
  • Input data accurately into the pharmacy system
  • Adhere to all state and federal guidelines pertaining to the practice of Pharmacy
  • Understand yearly licensing procedure for State and send application to Board of Pharmacy to be processed
  • Administer vaccinations following applicable State of Arizona Regulations
  • Adhere to all HIPAA Regulations and uphold Patient Privacy rules
  • Monitor and control expenses for the department
  • Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions; note any discrepancies in inventory
  • Assist in planning, organizing and supervising the inventory process
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
  • Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents
  • Report all safety risks, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS in Pharmacy from accredited college of Pharmacy
  • Arizona State Board of Pharmacy RPh license in current/good standing
  • Obtain/maintain immunization certification. Newly hired pharmacists are to enroll in an approved certification course within 90 days of hire, and be fully licensed within 180 days of hire
