Responsible for assisting with the recruitment needs for the corporate, retail and restaurant divisions of Tommy Bahama. By contributing to the recruitment process of attracting and placing new talent, the Recruiting Coordinator will contribute to the continued success of Tommy Bahama and meet the changing needs of the organization.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE:
  • Participate in recruitment activity for Tommy Bahama retail and restaurant divisions as directed. Responsible for providing recruiting assistance for 150+ retail and 16 restaurant locations throughout the United States.
  • Assists with necessary process to provide feedback and constant communication to ensure best hires.
  • Assists restaurant/retail managers with questions about process and hiring needs.
  • Lead person to run new hire orientations with new hires at the corporate office which occur every Monday.
  • Responsible for scheduling interviews with candidates and hiring managers at corporate office locations.
  • Must also balance the candidate experience with business needs, and ensure final candidates are prepared throughout the process to accept an offer.
  • Responsible for requesting PO’s and processing recruitment invoices in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of current employment/recruiting market, trends and competitors.
  • Uses Applicant Tracking System to manage candidates throughout the recruitment and hiring process. Update postings in appropriate systems (TB online, Craigslist, LinkedIn.) and remove when filled.
  • Responsible for completing reference checks, education confirmation and/or background checks.
  • Must maintain knowledge of industry HR practices and legal employment considerations, and have the ability to apply that knowledge to the Recruiting team as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain contacts in related companies, schools, agencies, etc.
  • Assist Recruiting team in utilizing existing and new networks to contact passive candidates and build pipeline for current and future positions.
  • Participate in creating and monitoring activities that impact employment brand awareness (employment advertising, collateral material, website and posting content, events, etc.).
  • Assist with current and new employee relocations as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work on other projects as needed to help support the overall business.
ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of corporate recruitment experience.
  • Previous interviewing experience and knowledge of behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Ability to use a variety of software, including Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience with an applicant tracking system and process required.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups of people, both oral and written.
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Customer Services and relationship building skills.
  • Strong scheduling/calendaring skills required.
