Analyst, Marketing Analytics - Outbound

The Outbound Analytics team within Marketing Analytics is responsible for capturing and analyzing relevant data to provide recommendations on performance and strategy for all outbound channels such as email, SMS, push, etc. The Outbound team analyzes various data sources to help develop optimization for email channel engagement, Member engagement with channels, sales conversion and the drive efficient data-driven testing and learning. The Outbound Analytics team owns the strategic testing strategy, guidance and learning agenda for outbound channels. The team serves to support channel teams, Marketing, Digital, Shop Your Way and business units across both Sears and Kmart. The analyst will support all testing and analysis within outbound channels including design of testing, developing experimental design and performing analysis with insights.

Responsibilities:

 Performs analysis of large volume of POS, web, email, customer, SYW and other quantitative data sets

 Ability to define and convey key metrics to help understand performance of channels (i.e. email) as it relates to a Member's engagement and journey

 Creates testing and learning analytic methods and develops consistent process of analysis

 Develops hypotheses and guides for usage of analytic methods in various campaigns for effectiveness of various learning

 Proves and disproves business hypothesis through data and statistical analysis

 Use strong analytical skills to provide insights as well as recommendations for changes and convince key leadership of testing benefits

 Understands and applies retail business and key KPIs for success in driving Members engagement and conversion in store and online

Required Skills:

 BS/BA or MBA/MS in Economics, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics or other related fields.

 data mining, business analytics, statistical analysis, machine learning experience

 Must have extensive experience executing SQL queries of advanced complexity

 Understanding of Relational Databases

 Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

 Highly proficient in SQL, SAS or other data mining packages

 Advanced Excel skills

 Effective written and verbal communication skills

 Works effectively both individually as well as a Member of a cross-functional team
