Semi Driver Short Haul (Class A CDL required - Guaranteed 5 day work wk pay of One Thousand dollars per week) - Walton, KY - Full-time / Part-time

Complies with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and all other federal, state, and local laws.

Uses proper defensive driving techniques to ensure safe vehicle operation.

Maintain accurate and current Hours of Service records with the use of an On-Board Computer (OBC).

Delivers raw materials and finished products to Schwan’s depots, distribution centers, plants, and outside warehouses. Makes customer pick-ups and back hauls as needed.

Assist in loading and unloading of products and materials as needed.

Responsible for product condition, case counts, cargo security, and temperature control while in route or delivering.

Follows a preplanned designated route for deliveries and backhauls.

Performs all necessary paperwork such as, but not limited to, Driver Vehicle Inspections and post-trip expense reports.

Attend safety meetings as required.

Must pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam along with random drug and alcohol test as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).

Non-traditional work schedule required including weekends.

Education:High school degree or equivalent

Years of Related Experience:2 or more years of interstate driving required with a minimum accumulation of 100,000 miles, over the road Class 8 driving experience. Refrigerated trailer experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The ability to read, understand and comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The ability to learn and effectively utilize an on board computer. Possess basic computer skills. A working knowledge of tractor/truck mechanics and maintenance. The ability to read and follow road maps.
