Beaver Creek Resort Company (BCRC) events will perpetuate the vision of being the number one luxury family resort in the world. This will be accomplished through offering rarefied experiences to guests through world class and engaging events, activities, and animations in Beaver Creek Village, during both peak and off peak season.

The overarching goal of the  Events Coordinator is to support the support and coordinate events, entertainment and attractions as assigned by the Director of Events and Sponsorship to create meaningful and engaging animation in the village, both during peak and off peak season. 

Under the direction of the Director of Events and Sponsorship, the primary duties of the Events Coordinator are as follows:
• Assist in the planning, set up, event execution and teardown of our on-going, weekly family activities and signature events
• Serve as the “team leader” for one or two animations or events and develop the schedule of events, work with BC marketing department and generate increased attendance at each of these events.
• Support Event Managers in pre-planning and onsite event execution for all large-scale, signature events
• Assist with the marketing and public relations for all of these events
• Assist in general office tasks
• Brand representative - expected to represent high expectations of the company and brand conducting business while interacting with integrity and keeping the best interest of BCRC in mind

 

Qualifications:

• Outstanding work ethic. The Coordinator must be willing to work odd hours, do manual labor (event planning requires a lot of hands-on, physical work including site set-up/take-down, taking supplies to/from storage facilities, etc.) and work through the elements (events go on – rain or shine – or snow!).
• Ability to prioritize and follow-through. It is important to be able to prioritize projects, ask for direction when needed and follow through on the completion of tasks.
• Self-motivated/Self-sufficient.  Our department is extremely busy year-round and the Coordinator will be expected to take on a lot of responsibility and work independently without supervision. 
• Good teamwork skills.  Although the Coordinator will be expected to work on his/her own for much of the time, he/she will also constantly be interacting with the rest of the event team members and other members of other departments.
• Excellent organization skills.  Being detail oriented and very organized is essential to the success of any event.  Our events are very multifaceted, and the event organizers must have every aspect planned well in advance.
• Excellent problem solving skills. When planning events, unforeseen obstacles arise, more often than not. The ability to gather the necessary information in order to make decisions is a very important trait for the Coordinator to have.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Positive attitude.
Requirements and Qualities
The ideal candidate for this position finds enjoyment and satisfaction in the fulfillment of project based tasks. The required skills for this position are:
• 1 year of event experience
• Excellent organization skills. Being detail oriented and very organized is essential to the success of any event.  Our events are very multifaceted, and the event organizers must have every aspect planned well in advance as well as maintain ability to be nimble
• Willingness to learn and develop skills as the department develops and grows.
• Be able to work with structure and process, and assist in developing these processes where none exist.
• Outstanding work ethic. Candidate must be willing to work odd hours, do manual labor and work through the elements.
• Self-motivated/Self-sufficient. Our department is very busy year-round. Candidate will be expected to take on a lot of responsibility without being constantly supervised.  
• Good teamwork skills.  We are a very tight team and we also must work closely with other departments throughout the resort. Candidate must be willing to be a team player always.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Functional in Adobe and Coordinatoret based applications. 
• Positive “can-do” attitude.

Other attributes that are a plus:
• Design for PowerPoint presentations 
• Photography skills
