Milwaukee company seeks CNC Milling expert.

 

          2nd shift position - Hours are 2:45pm-12:45 Mon-Fri

          Generous shift premium

 

Minimum Requirements:

          High School diploma or GED

          8+ years experience in a non-production CNC job shop environment.

          Blue print reading.

          Mechanical abilities

          Set tools; Modify programs at the machine

          Understand  Feeds and Speeds; GD&T

          Close tolerance work; Inspect parts

          Gibbs Cam or Programming a plus

          Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

           Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, proportions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Preferred Requirements:

          Knowledge of Gibbs Cam

          Experience with OKK and Haas machines, Mits and Fanuc controls

          Journeyman s card in CNC and/or tool making.

          Knowledge and use of running OKK 1260 machine.

 

Duties:

          Post programs on the shop floor machines.

          Set tools and make necessary adjustments to offsets to produce wide variety of close tolerance parts per print.

          To have the competencies to set up complex parts with multiple set ups.  Includes a requirement to plan the work, determine cutting sequences, develop holding and chucking fixtures, adjust feeds and speeds and cut depths and select appropriate cutting tools using the print part, sketches or verbal description of the part to be made.

          Make minor changes to a software program in Gibbs Cam on the floor, if needed.

          Set up, adjust and operate machine tools with limited supervision.

          Knowledge to manually write a program at the machine controls.

          Use of a variety of precision measuring devices to position part, check dimensions during machining and check final part for accuracy.

          Ability to multi-task a few jobs.

          Ensure the completion of all paperwork, records, documents, etc.

          Able to work overtime when requested to meet the needs of customer timelines.

          Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.

          Comply with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations.

          Recognize, report, and correct errors.

          Support ISO 9001, LEAN manufacturing and 5S practices.
