MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Full-time

Maintenance Technician Shook-Tarlton Property Management-Hickory,NC Position Summary Immediate opening for a maintenance technician for an Apartment Community. Looking for someone with a positive attitude geared towards customer service and being a team player. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the completion of all maintenance work orders Repair, service, troubleshoot and diagnose all residential and some light commercial HVAC equipment including heat pumps, gas, and air conditioning units. Be able to diagnose and make repairs to plumbing. Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed. Perform preventative maintenance Be able to clearly communicate to tenant needs, office staff and fellow co-workers and have a positive attitude. Complete details of work performed on work orders daily. Be able to work 40+ hours a week On call every 3rd week-end Be available as required for on-call maintenance. Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees. Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company and local State and Federal guidelines Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. This job requires lifting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or 25 to 50lbs frequently, and/or 10 to 20 lbs constantly. * Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined. Minimum Qualifications: General Maintenance Skills Basic Electrical Basic Plumbing General Carpentry Painting and Drywall Repair Preferred 2 years Maintenance Experience 2+ years of HVAC Service Technician Experience EPA Universal Certifications Must have own tools Must have an insurable driving record and a valid driver's license Must be able to pass a criminal background check Compensation: Email resume with salary requirements to officemanager@shook-tarlton.com Heath insurance provided.
