The Warehouse Team Leader position is directly responsible for the daily operation and supervision of staff in the HERSHEYPARK Food & Beverage Warehouse. The position will rotate through a supervisor duty schedule and will be responsible for the daily operation relating to all crew deliveries throughout the park, general warehousing operation and its operational facilities (ice house, dock storage, Hussmann freezer). It is the responsibility of this position to possess, lead and instruct on the company’s core values.  The primary working time frame for the position revolves around the HERSHEYPARK season to include Spring, Summer and Fall seasonal operations. This position may also assist at other Hershey Entertainment Complex locations on an as needed basis (HERSHEYPARK Arena, HERSHEYPARK Stadium, ZooAmerica, GIANT Center, Hershey Gardens and Hershey Theatre).

 

Job Functions:

  • Ensure sure that warehouse facilities open and close at the proper times established by the operational needs of the Day. (Only in the absence of a Building Supervisor or Area Supervisor)
  • Train staff on proper job responsibilities, ice production, delivery receiving and outgoing order placement and supervising employees to ensure that they are capable of performing their job tasks that are assigned to them in a professional and timely manner as well as interacting appropriately with guests, and answering guest questions
  • Monitor daily delivery operations of the warehouse, ensure accurate storage and accounting of the products ordered as well as monitoring the Food Safety of all products entering the complex and notifying management of any discrepancies
  • Monitor employees to ensure company policy and procedures are being upheld including the appearance standard of staff
  • Maintain equipment properly, and report problems with equipment to the appropriate supervisors and or maintenance staff during operations so that problems are corrected
  • Maintain operational abilities and cleanliness of company vehicles and report any maintenance required of vehicles to Area Supervisor, Management or maintenance staff during operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and storage within  ice house and storage dock and their surrounding grounds.
  • Complete deliveries to HERSHYEPARK stands and vendors throughout the day in a timely fashion.
  • Provide inventory accounts to Area Supervisor to help prepare for daily or weekly warehouse stock orders and monthly End of Period (EOP) accounting.
  • Ensuring that all orders placed through our company’s Puridium System are properly received and paperwork is provided to Building Supervisor for receiving of products on the computer
  • Perform other job related assignments and tasks as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a high school graduate or have comparable education requirements (GED)
  • Must have a valid state issued driver’s license

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must have at least two (2) years of Food & Beverage experience within the Warehouse or one (1) year experience as a Team Leader or Building Supervisor within Food & Beverage department
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Windows based computers (including general Office Suite programs – Word, Excel)
  • Must be able to clearly communicate, read and write in English
  • Must have reliable, steady transportation to and from work
  • Must be self-motivated to complete tasks and be able to multi task while prioritizing job tasks and assignments
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

 

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes Monday through Sunday (including Holidays) with shifts starting as early as 6am and ending as late as 1am, and must be able to work a minimum of two (2) weekends (Saturday and Sundays) each month
  • Must be able to work a minimum of five (5) days and at least 25 hours per week (including shifts in excess of 8 hours) during May, June, July and August and at least 15 hours per week during September through April
  • Physical requirements include standing (for periods up to at least 8 hours at a time), walking (including up and down stairs, hills and uneven grounds), bending and repeated lifting (up to 50 pounds without assistance and 100 pounds with assistance)
  • Regular environmental work conditions, including extreme temperatures changes and humidity changes during a standard shift
  • Regular outside work in various weather conditions is required (including, hot, cold, rain, snow and other inclement weather)
  • Employee must provide proper footwear (Steal toe or Composite Toe / Non-Slip / Non-Skid/ Black preferred Boots)
