HERSHEY Entertainment Complex Food & Beverage Part Time Dishwasher’s responsibilities include; washing utensils, pots and pans, plates, and other Food & Beverage equipment; properly storing clean items, and maintaining clean and safe dish room areas. This position works in a team environment with other Food & Beverage and Restaurant staff to ensure the smooth operation of the facilities. This position is primarily responsible for assisting at GIANT Center in the main kitchen areas and at HERSHEYPARK Place Restaurant. There will also be opportunities to work in a similar role in other Hershey Entertainment Complex venues. The Entertainment Complex consists of HERSHEYPARK, ZooAmerica, HERSHEYPARK Stadium, HERSHEYPARK Arena, GIANT Center and Hershey Theatre.
Job Functions:
- Maintaining cleanliness of the dish room, pot washing areas, and all other non-food storage areas; including, sweeping and mopping the coolers and kitchen area floors
- Washing and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, dishwashers, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils
- Removing trash and breaking down cardboard and boxes
- Distributing and storing products to their proper areas within predetermined time frames
- Taking requests from other team members and assistin
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Additional Qualifications:
- Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English
- Must have reliable, steady transportation to and from work
- Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
Working Conditions:
- Hours will vary according to event schedules, but will regularly include evenings, weekends, and holidays (hours may fluctuate between 8 and 25 hours per week based on event schedules)
- Physical requirements include standing (for periods up to 5 hours at a time), walking, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Regular outside work in various weather conditions is required (including, hot, cold, rain, snow and other inclement weather)
- Work environment can be extremely loud at times
- Employee must provide proper footwear (all black, non skid/non slip sneaker)
