About this job
The Process Technician is responsible for all aspects of injection, compression and transfer molding processes including mold setup, process development and problem solving/troubleshooting.
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Performs mold / process set up on injection, compression and transfer molding machines/process.
- Make minor repairs and adjustments of all molding equipment
- Troubleshoot mold processing issues
- Trains molding operators in accordance with approved process
- Perform machine and tool PMs as scheduled
- Cleans and examines tooling for defects
- Conduct processing, equipment validation and capability studies with Engineering
- Works with engineering to qualify and implement new and alternative rubber materials and molds
Qualifications:
- High school education
- Good written, oral communication skills
- Strong Math skills and Mechanical Aptitude
- Must have completed at least 1 – 3 years of experience as a Molding setup and Processing Technician
- Overhead crane / forklift operation experience
- Experience with hand tools including, torque wrenches
- Works well as part of a Team
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
Preferred:
- Any experience in manufacturing of rubber products.
- Technical Training
