Hosts and bussers must have a passion for genuine hospitality because they are the first interaction a guest has at the restaurant. No matter what, every guest should be greeted with a warm welcome and smile, and genuine thanks for visiting when they depart. A host is primarily responsible for welcoming all guests and ensuring they are sat in a timely manner. If they do have to wait, a host will go above and beyond to make sure they are comfortable and that they are sat within their expected time frame.
