Position Summary:

Analyze customer behavior and product data and facilitate in the data driven decision process to increase customer loyalty and sales. Work with merchandisers to drive sales and loyalty through promotion modeling, execution, and by providing post analysis details of sales promotions requiring a loyalty shopper card. Partner with category managers and marketing managers to ensure that promotions engage households to help drive sales and grow loyal households. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze advertisements (weekly circular) through pre-evaluation and post-evaluation measures
• Analyze promotions and sales plans to measure the extent to which they drive sales, engage customers, and promote loyal household growth
• Provide feedback substantiated by ad hoc customer analysis
• Assist the Merchandising and Marketing departments in further integrating the customer into marketing decisions through awareness initiatives and training
• Provide customer-centric solutions based on proven best practices to help business partners and Kroger reach sales goals
• Report various customer behavior trends for specific departments and present results to stakeholders
• Travel regularly to local work sites for meetings, training, and other business functions

Minimum Position/ Education Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience analyzing market and customer data
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize analysis into compelling written communications
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Effective analytical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently or in groups

Desired Previous Job Experience/ Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or statistics
• Division or corporate Merchandising, Marketing, Advertising, or Loyalty experience
• Experience developing Business Intelligence (BI) reports
• Experience analyzing and interpreting data
• Understanding of loyalty technical systems’ operational capabilities
• Understanding of loyalty building strategies and tactics
• Experience using Kroger Loyalty and/or merchandising systems, such as Category Management Systems (e.g. Kroger Category Management Systems (KCMS), Perishable Reviewer, Price Reviewer, etc.), Business Objects, and MarketExpert
