Position Summary:

CrEate Category Insight through the combined use of scheduled, repEating Reporting and ad hoc analysis of Mechandising Data. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, Integrity, diversity, inclusion and Safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

• Collect and validate Data from Internal Systems and supplier sources as needed. Question and resolve Data inconsistencies from Internal and External sources to Support fact based conclusions.
• Drive small to medium-sized Analytics Processes and Projects under the guidance of Cost Management Analysts and the Collaborative Category Optimization (CCO) Manager.
• Assist in the preparation of supply market ReSearch to determine market trends and Insights.
• Conduct key analyses including; Financial analysis, market analysis, Commodity Pricing analysis, and supplier Performance analysis
• Exercise judgment while preforming key analysis balancing Data gleaned and relevance to the Category
• Draw Insights from the analytical review Process and make recommendations to Business partners which Support multiple supplier Category negotiations driving total Category margin enhancement
• CrEate Category Improvement Projections and conduct post-Implementation variance analysis
• Assist Managers in identifying capabilities and Processes that drive continuous Improvement

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Experience in the practice of analyzing and interpreting of Data
• Ability to become proficient in the use of Financial statements and Programs available to retrieve information (e.g. KCMSDW, Business Objects)
• Ability to synthesize analyses into compelling written Communications
• Ability to be collaborative and work with and through committees
• Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking
• Strong computer skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to travel independently

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience in a Data analysis role
• Knowledge of Kroger Mechandising Processes
