Position Purpose:

Global Custom Commerce is looking for a Senior WebOps Engineer to add to our fast, fun environment. You'll be working with a comprehensive stack that includes C#.Net/PHP, Puppet, Team City, Octopus, SQL Server and MySQL Clusters and RavenDB/Memcached.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

-Coding in C#/C+, C++, .NET, ASP, Ruby, PHP that will fire off and orchestrate the complete deployments of DEV, Stage and Production environments via Puppet or other tools of this kind.
-Deploying applications in Amazon AWS, Google or Azure
-Solving critical & high pressure infrastructure issues when they arise
-Admin’ing Windows (and some Linux) servers

Nature and Scope:

This position reports to the WebOps Manager 

Environment:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Standard Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must pass Background Check.
Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Education Required: 

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Work Experience Required: 5

Physical Requirements: 

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Understanding of storage and networking
-Virtualization experience
-Experience deploying applications in Amazon AWS, Google or Az

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

-Extensive experience doing automation using Puppet/Salt/Ansible or similar CM solution
-Extensive experience writing programs to automate repeatable tasks in a heterogeneous systems environment
-Extensive Windows administrations skills
-Moderate Linux administration skills
-Adaptability to new programming languages
-Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple technical domains (systems, storage, networking)
