This Corporate Security shift is Monday - Friday, 2:30pm-11pm.

Job Overview:?
As a Corporate Security Officer you will directly and indirectly provide safety, security, and outstanding customer service for all 6500+ employees, contingent workers, tenants, vendors and visitors at the Best Buy Corporate Campus.?The officer?s job entails working at several security stations throughout the campus (which may include extended standing, and walking stairs), performing physical security checks, verifying visitors through the Visitor Management System at the main entrance, patrolling the outside of the corporate campus, parking enforcement, and constant inspection of campus buildings. ?

The officer will manage physical security access control standards for all building badge and key access permissions for the Corporate Campus and remotely manage the Richfield Data Center, Bloomington Data Center, San Marcos Call Center, the Seattle Technology Development Center and numerous out-of-state distribution centers.?

The officer is an integral part of the Campus Safety team and performs responsibilities outlined of the CEAT (Campus Evacuation Assistance Team), ?ERT(Emergency Response Team) ?group, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and WARN ?(Severe Weather trained on weather related issues from the National Weather Service). The officer needs to interact with employees?, contractors, vendors, tenants and visitors to not only provide a service, but to educate them on Best Buy Safety and Security procedures and enable them to help us make our corporate campus safe and secure.?

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service to all employees, contingent workers, tenants, vendors and guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage physical access and assigned permissions for all employees, contractors, tenants, vendors and visitors at the Corporate Campus, Richfield Data Center, Bloomington Data Center, San Marcos Call Center and Seattle Technology Development Center
  • Monitor alarms and video cameras to ensure the safety of and security for all employees, contractors, tenants, vendors, and visitors at the corporate campus, Richfield Data Center, Bloomington Data Center, Seattle Technology Development Center, and San Marcos Call Center
  • Respond to all emergencies and providing medical care to all patients at the Corporate Campus and Richfield Data Center; provide assistance for Human Resources and Employee Relations in matters that pertain to safety and security at the Corporate Campus; Conduct monthly equipment checks. Ensure equipment is operational and initiate repair/replacement of defective equipment. SOP / Documentation development and other special projects
  • Monitor the Emergency Hotline and escalate reported emergencies in a timely manner to the on-call Crisis Management personnel


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School/GED Equivalent
  • 1+ year of Customer Service Experience in Retail, Hospitality
  • Valid Minnesota Driver?s License or the ability to obtain one is required

Preferred Qualifications:?
  • Security experience in a Corporate, Retail, Hospital, or College setting preferred
  • Emergency Response Experience, such as that in law enforcement, firefighting services, emergency medical services or related field
  • Emergency Medical Response Certified; Emergency Medical Technician Certified; First Aid, CPR and AED Certified;Community Emergency Response Team Certified
  • Previous experience with Lenel OnGuard, Milestone Systems video surveillance system, Verint Vid-Center, and Siemens MXL Fire Alarm system
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
