Driver / Forklift Driver - Ascension Parish

A local Ascension Parish company is searching for a Driver who will have core responsibilities of delivering and picking up supplies to/from client sites. A valid CDL-A driver’s license (B will be considered)  with a clean driving history is required. The ideal candidate would have experience using forklifts and pallet jacks, along with being familiar with warehousing and delivery related processes. The Driver is a critical position for incoming and outgoing deliveries for our clients.

Pay up to $18/hour DOE

Driver job highlights:

• Associate will drive various vehicles according to load requirements and driver''s license
  • 24'' flatbed
  • 12'' flatbed
  • 18 wheeler (back up driver)
• Forklift operating
• Keep logs and DOT time sheets
• Perform routine equipment inspections
• Communicate with team to ensure timely deliveries
• Possible Long Term opportunity for the right candidate
• Warehouse duties when not driving

 What we look for in Drivers:

• Enthusiastic team player
• TWIC card and current medical card required
• Experience in maintaining a safe vehicle
• Two or more years in a comparable job role
• Able to operate a forklift for loading/unloading
