Operations Center Manager - Full-time / Part-time

Whelan Security is looking for a talented and driven leader to supervise our safety and security program in Washington, DC!

The Operations Center Manger will lead a dynamic team responsible for maintaining a state-of the-art fusion center, in support of financial sector incident management. The key performance objective of this position is to deliver results for communications and business solutions during incidents, emergencies and critical operational time periods.

Qualifications

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

• Provide documented history of:
• Three years’ experience in the crisis management, emergency response, emergency communications area (or related fields)
• Three years’ experience in a corporate management and leadership role
• Three years’ experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Notifind, or comparable content management system
• Possess a proven record of success associated with the ability to:
• Work independently, and lead others to common goals and objectives (self starter)
• Achieve results in a fast paced, collaborative work environment (team oriented)
• Work effectively and efficiently in a high-stress operations environment
• Deliver a work-product indicating attention to detail and problem-solving
• Meet the internal goals and objectives of a large, complex organization
• Use Web technologies in communications/marketing fields effectively
• Accomplish the Incident Management principles, ICS methodology and Business Continuity process

Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, past employment verification, and a personality profile (behavioral assessment).

Education

Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

• Four-year college degree in emergency response/crisis management field (or related field) is required
• Possess and maintain any/all licenses, certifications, certificates required by law
